Some Good Things

The courier finally got my three rolls of film developed, all taken with Pierre, my new Superheadz Super Fat Lens camera. Happy, happy! I'm posting random picks from the rolls - some from the beach trip with my college mates, some from around the house, some in Singapore lah, etc.

There is a lot to be thankful for.
Where shall I be this June? Fingers crossed.

The Beginning of the End

Thirteen or so snapshots of the last of school and the beginning of summer in film.
Looking at these pictures makes me miss my college, the tree-lined streets of my beloved university, my friends and the reckless abandon that being in the beach makes me feel.

I bid goodbye to the toy camera my boyfriend lent me. As a graduation gift, I then ordered a black Superheadz Fat Lens camera that's due to arrive tomorrow... so yaaaaaaaaaaaay, more film photography for me. :D (I know, I know, I jumped in the lomo/toy cam fad a little too late!)

Juicy Trip: Down South 2/2

When you're enjoying a day in the sun with friends, every beach is pretty awesome.
The rain stopped a few hours after we arrived, and the next morning was just filled with lots of sunshine and warmth. Some swam, some snorkeled, some wished to go kayaking. Some hid from the sun in the comforts of the room; some took naps by the beach, wishing life was always this laid back.

Juicy girls, I love you! :)
Summer, you're off to a wonderful start!

La Luz Resort is located in San Juan, Batangas. For more information, visit their website.

Old Boracay

This is just a break from the craziness of thesis. Things are about to roll next week, and I'm dead scared and anxious of what the future holds for me this time next week.

AAAANYWAY, despite the fact that I shouldn't be thinking of happy things like summer in such hectic times, I thought I'd share some photos of old Boracay today from Manila Old Timer and contemplate on how different it is today. It makes one wonder how man can so easily destroy manipulate the raw and quiet beauty of Mother Nature. Oh, if only Boracay still looked this pristine!

I dream of basking in the summer sun, and I hope everything goes well soon so that I don't feel guilty anymore of dreaming of all things pretty. God knows how tense I've been for the past eight months. :P

Palawan: Mangrove Country

AHHHHHHHHH, SUMMER. ♥♥♥♥

Look at that wonderful beach. Last year's beach trip was in Boracay with friends, and this year's beach trip was in the beautiful beaches of Puerto Princesa in Palawan with my parents.

To sum it up, Palawan was BEAUTIFUL. We only got to see one part of the whole province, but testimonies from other tourists and the Palawenyos themselves say that Palawan has so much more to offer...which is definitely going to be why I'll go explore El Nido and Coron one day in the future, because those places are supposedly prettier than Puerto Princesa, but how much more beautiful when Puerto Princesa is already such a tropical gem?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway.

We basically did what every tourist in Puerto Princesa has to do when he or she is there. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed the trip, I've tasked myself to give some traveling tips for my fellow traveler. As I am normally accustomed to do, I'm gonna spam this post with lots of pretty pictures of mangrove country (I call it that because most if not all the shores I've seen were lined with mangroves!) to get you convinced that, yes, Palawan is beautiful. Mind you, Palawan's more of an adventure island compared to party-island Boracay, so if you're up for lots of island hopping, exploring marine life, hiking, spelunking in caves, etc., then, well, go ahead and plan a trip to Palawan.
